Nigerian food and beverages group Nestle Plc (NESTLE.LG) said on Wednesday its pre-tax profit rose 52 percent to 4.2 billion naira ($28 million) in the first three months to March.

Turnover at the local unit of Swiss firm Nestle SA (NESN.VX) grew 24 percent to 17.6 billion naira in the period from a year earlier, it said in a filing to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
