it is so sad that the corruption in the Nigeria police force is like a malignant disease.They see their uniform as a means to oppress the population especially for those who dont know people in the high places.Nigerians in te diaspora wants to come home but thing we see when we come put fears in us.
However corruption is allover te world but the nigeria police does not mind erasing a whole family to get what they want.Like Dr.oduok rightly said,lack of oeversight and misplaced priorities and greed has really led corruption to an unbelievable corruption.
I was in Nigeria recently and virtually every day we go out we are being stopped by the police to check particulars;but on my last day we had to take my grandma to the drs,we were stopped by the police and as usual checks were done and they found the papers were ok,my nephew had a driving licence and because of this disease called corruption the policemen now said the plate number is fake,whao!!i could not believe this,this is a cr my sister has been using for almost 5years.we were asked to go park the vehicle at ogba police station.This misearable looking policeman now asked we charter a taxi so that he could go to the secretariat to find out details of the vehicle at this point i was frustrated and had to leave the station.At the end of the day my sister was able to talk to a so called inspector so she could go as the process was taking the whole day and had to ask someone to take our granny to te hosp.This one now demanded 50,000:00.Money they have never been able to save in their lives.This corruption starts from the top,this has engulfed the nation and they dont care how dented the police image is.My sister had to give the money meant for hospital despite explaining what the money was for.they ended up collecting 10,000:00.Yet the slogan is ' the police is your friend'
Sometimes things happen to people and the question goes thus,why is the world so wicked?The world is not wicked?they are the ones killing themselves.How do we come back to this uncleansable act.
