These services, as convenient as they are, are exclusive to Verve cardholders only. With Quickteller, a user can recharge his mobile phone, pay water, electricity, DSTV and HiTV bills. He can also book airline tickets, pay insurance premium and donate to charity organisations of choice. With Quickteller, gone are the days of recharge cards and its associated problems, such as peeling off the PIN, fake PINs availability and disposal issues.
Quickteller allows cardholders to directly recharge their phones or those of their families and friends anywhere in Nigeria at anytime of the day from the comfort of their homes or offices and send an SMS notification to the recipient. This service takes the burden off the mobile networks as they no longer have to spend heavily on production of recharge cards thereby diverting the funds to improving their business.
Existing mobile networks on the Quickteller platform include MTN, Zain, Glo, Starcomms, Multilinks and Visafone. With this product, users no longer have to queue up and waste valuable time at the offices of these service providers. Rather than going to their offices, Nigerians can now pay bills, levies and subscriptions at ATM locations and merchants outlets where the PoS terminals exists or through the Quickteller internet portal. The import of this is that we do not need to travel a distance before such bills and levies are paid.
While attesting to the typical convenience offered by Quickteller, Director, Payment Solutions and Business Expansion, Interswitch, Mr. Charles Ifedi explained that the solution was developed based on market requirement, and the need to add value to partners and cardholders on the Interswitch network. As a responsive firm, the company has developed an array of services across the payment channels on its network in order to enable cardholders and partners derive better value from their time and money.
In addition, the benefits of Quickteller to the cardholders and its partners include 24/7 accessibility and payment convenience. Take DSTV for example, now cardholders can pay subscription on the ATM, Web, or a PoS terminal and be reconnected instantly irrespective of whether there was a service disconnection previously or not without writing a cheque or going to the biller’s office.

In order to extend the robustness of this solution, money transfer services such as bank-to-bank, bank-to-ATM, mobile-to-ATM and inter-bank transfers will be activated on the platform soon.
