    A .txt file is a normal extension for text written in Microsoft Notepad while a .log is Microsoft Notepad text file that log every time u open it( ie It print the current date & time automatically on the text document every time u open it).

    Yes ,that is right,You can see an example of text file as you save your documents in Note pad or Wordpad,Where as you see a log of program activity ,e.g when you start running the program and when it ends.
