In a bid to keep afloat its resolve to continuously seek fresh and improved ways of delighting customers and offer them a better cellular communication experience at very competitive rates, Airtel yesterday in Lagos unveiled its 2SIM package describing it as another first in Nigeria and indeed Africa.

The One Network service, like every other product launched earlier, is aimed at providing a borderless mobile phone network across the Airtel Group and pan African/Middle East community including Nigeria.
Chief Operating Officer & Executive Director of Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Deepak Srivastava while unveiling the company’s latest offer, said it as a truly innovative, revolutionary and customer-centric product.

According to him, “The launch of this package further solidifies Airtel’s position on the continent’s telecommunications industry as a leader in true innovation and affordability,” adding “apart from Nigeria, this groundbreaking offer is also expected to be launched in all Airtel Africa operations and in line with our brand promise of being the most loved brand in the daily lives of Africans.”

He re-iterated that Airtel was committed to building a better voice and data network that is anchored on a well-conceived vision of being the telecom brand Nigerians admire and desire most.
Shedding more light on the product offering, the chief marketing officer of Airtel Nigeria, Mr. George Andah disclosed that Airtel 2SIM offer will enable customers across the country to enjoy a bouquet of voice and value-added services at affordable rates.

He said: “The product offers Nigerians the opportunity to build and sustain a lifelong ‘communication’ relationship.”
Speaking on the benefits of Airtel 2SIM offer, Mr. Andah said that calls between partners SIMS enjoy 10k/sec all day, 1k/sec midnight calls(12am-4.30am) and 60 free monthly sms while in the case of 30 days promo benefit, the customer will enjoy free caller ring back tone, free breaking news subscription to Airtel live and free ringtone download.

Existing Airtel pre-paid customers, he further said, can also have a SIM partner for registering that airtel line.
He disclosed that to register a SIM partner, existing customers need to dial *448*1*Airtel no.# while to de-register same, the customer simply dials *448*2Airtel no.# without any form of cost attached to such action.

It will be recalled that sometimes ago, the Airtel Corporate Package (ZCP), a premium package which gives the additional benefits of lower tariffs, option of paying in arrears for users’ airtime usage, unlimited talk-time controlled by credit limit options, and a wide range of Value Added Services was launched.
Nigerian Pilot checks reveal that this package is available both as post-paid and hybrid enabling subscribers to top up with recharge cards.
