Yes we can stop it,I believ the solution is also in the statement of Adams Oshimole ,one man that have come through. He argued that everything depends on the willingness of the President to stop election rigging, stressing if the President sees election as a do or die affair, there is no way rigging can be stopped in the country. He suggested the amendment of Electoral Act to prescribe serious punishment for those identified and proven to have committed electoral fraud.

According to him (Speaking to Vanguard Nespaper at their Kirikiri Canal, Apapa, Lagos, Corporate Head office, when He attended Gani's 70th Birthday)
Everything depends on the president. If the president, whoever the president is, calls his Inspector-General of Police (IG) to ensure that there is law and order at polling units.

Anybody found with offensive weapon should be arrested, prosecuted and detained. Should there be any evidence that one policeman is found to be involved in rigging, you will be dismissed as an IG.

The Commissioner of Police (CP), Divisional Police Officer (DPO), all of them in that order will have no choice but ensure that no rigging takes place because if the IG is to be dismissed, the CP, DPO in that area where election is rigged knows that they will follow in that order.

The attitude of the commander-in-chief is very important in this issue. If the attitude is that of a President who sees election as a do or die affair, then it is another thing entirely. There is no way election rigging will stop. Because the Nigerian police operate on the basis of hierarchy and command.

The ruling party can use the police to aid snatching of ballot boxes. If you remove the power of the police to use their uniform and arms to intimidate, even the thugs you can also engage them.

Our Leaders have the answer to the entire question . From a general perspective, the people of Nigeria are peace loving and accommodating,Rated as the Happiest people on Mother Earth. We have so many ethnic groups and we live peacefully. The problem we have stems from the leadership, if Aso Rock can get cleaned up, then there is hope for Nigeria. A corrupt leader cannot fight corruption.

God is not going to leave Heaven to come and solve only Nigerians Problem. That is why He gave evry body brain,to excercise Common sense.
The religious leaders have been compromised by money and the craze for wealth. The defensive mechanism of waiting for God for solutions can not help us farther than hope.
Nigerians have to refuse to be bought by money, but unfortunately the vast majority of them have been so deprived that they cannot stand up for their rights or that which is right.

We have to learn to speak our rights in exchange for the change we need.

yes it can... Education brings with it empowerment unto whoever subscribes to it. Its apalling the rate at which ceos and govt officials have raped the treasury of the masses this is enough to cause natural disasters like earthquakes and the likes...our new slogan to the world should be "good people bad leaders"

To my knowledge Nigeria still remains the 8th wonder of the world full of constitutional mysteries and very bad political histories. haba! assuming other presidents are celebrating 100developmental days in office ours is on AWOL for 60days and the stupid senate is still asking where he went...?
Amodu to cut in here has no technical input in the team... it was the boys individual determination to rid themselves of the inpending shame that gave them these victories....

Default Only Economic Power and Fear of God can.

People have already been given voter education. However, the education won't sink into them because they are jobless, poor and lack the fear of God. It is like giving a sermon to an hungry crowd. By the time a mere mudu of rice would mean nothing to the electorate; by the time even an inducement of N5,000 would not sway the electorate into abandoning their consciences; by the time we all trully fear God and refrain from His wrath; then election rigging will abate. Let us expend our efforts more in the areas of alleviating poverty and enhancing spirituality and see how all vices get diminished.

    And what is that ?.

When God finished the creation of Adam, He stepped back, scratched his head, and said, "I can do better than that!"
