UPDATE : 27th of April 2011; INEC Nigeria has declared Dr Chris Nwabueze Ngige of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) winner after the Anambra central senatorial election re-run.
UPDATE : 11:00 Am on 12th of April 2011, Dr Chris Ngige declared as winner of Anambra Central Senatorial District election.
INEC refute canceling any result or saying that the result is inconclusive.

UPDATE : 6:30 Am - 8:00 Am on 12th of April 2011, Although we had a confirmation about this from some INEC Officials about the last update, we will not stick our neck out to say this is the final official report - The scenario here is this ;
- Returning officer Dr. Alex Anene ran away, said people are after him to change the result.
- The INEC REC Prof. Chukwuemeka Onukogu declared the election cancelled and ordered re=run in 10 wards across four local government areas. He ordered a rerun. He also announced Prof. Charles Esimonye as the new Returning Officer who would handle the rerun poll after Anene’s alleged resignation.
Onukaogu said areas where the rerun election would take place are: Enugwu-Ukwu Ward I; Nimo Ward I and III; Nri Ward II, which has two units; Obosi; - Umunachi; Nkpor and Umuoji.
The wards are in Idemili North, Idemili South, Dunukofia and Njikoka local governments.
Onukogu said he canceled the elections in the four local government areas following protest from Ngige.
Charles Odedo of the ACN had earlier declared winner of the election in Idemili North/South federal constituency.
- The returning officer last night at the Tourist Gardens Hotel in Awka under tight security, said he had all authentic results duly written on Form EC8 and he declared Chris Ngige winner of Anambra Central Senatorial District election.

- Prof. Dora Akunyili rejects the declaration, said she stands by the earlier announcement of cancellation and re-run by the REC.
There-fore , we endure all our esteemed readers and "Fellow elites" not to be conclusive or carried away by the diverse reports until there is a wide official announcement or after today's REC meeting in Abuja.
UPDATE : 11:30 pm on 11th of April 2011, INEC finally declared Dr Chris Ngige as winner of Anambra Central Senatorial District election.
