Final Update : Abdulfatah Ahmed of the People Democratic party (PDP) has been officially declared by INEC Nigeria as winner of Kwars State Governorship election and there by is now the Governor Elect.
PDP : 254,969.
ACN : 152,580.

The governor election result in Kwara state: Reports shows prospects of Second Republic Senate Leader, Senator Olusola Saraki positioning his daughter to replace his son as governor of the state were fading as initial reports showed her trailing even in her own polling booth while all other major gubernatorial candidates won the votes in their polling units.
This long battle for supremacy between redoubtable kingmaker Dr. Olusola Saraki and his son Governor Bukola Saraki appears to be ending in favour of the son, with his PDP candidate Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed leading in yesterday’s race against Bukola’s sister, the ACPN candidate Senator Gbemisola Saraki and the ACN candidate Mohamed Dele Belgore.
Senator Gbemisola Saraki of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria, ACPN, was third in her Opobiyi, Agbaji ward. She trailed the PDP which came first and the ACN second.
The gubernatorial candidate for Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq polled 229, followed by PDP 194, then ACPN 74 and ACN 63 at his polling centre in Idi-gba.
Democratic Peoples Party, DPP’s gubernatorial candidate, Gbenga Olawepo, easily dominated the voting in his St Paul Anglican polling centre, in Agbamu, Irepodun LGA of the state. He scored 217 votes compared to the 96 scored by the PDP, 40 for ACN and two for CPC.
Official Report : PDP wins 22 of the 24 house of assembly seats while ACN wins two.
According to early results from Ajikobi Ode Opobiyi ward 021, 005 and 006, PDP led with 124, 207 and 194 votes respectively against ACPN’s 86, 90 and 74 while ACN got 43, 46 and 80. CPC had 1, 2 and 1 votes respectively.
In Osere Junction of Oko Erin area, ACN had 211, ACPN 97, PDP 87 and CPC 2. In Ode Balogun Alanamu, ACN scored 241, PDP 135, ACPN 27 and CPC 2. In Ode Olomomesan unit, PDP had 236, ACN 85, ACPN 15 and CPC 0.
In Ode Koto, PDP led with 207, ACN 120, ACPN 13 while CPC had zero votes. In four units of Magaji Aare ward 025, 003, 023 and 007 ACN won three of the polling units with 151, 94, 70 and 37. PDP won one unit with 42, 58, 50 and 88 respectively, ACPN 20, 17, 18 and 17 while CPC scored 0, 23, 15 and 17. Report from Offa local government also shows that ACN won in majority of the polling units.
Early results from several polling units in Sokoto town, where only senatorial and state assembly elections were held, showed that PDP was leading in most of them. For example, in Magajin Gari A 001, PDP had 205 votes to CPC’s 48. In 002, PDP had 193 to CPC’s 83, while in 003, PDP had 167 to CPC’s 43. Similarly, in Waziri A 002, PDP had 487 to CPC’s 33 votes. In Magajin Gari Malleri, PDP got 191 votes to CPC’s 100.
