Final Update : INEC Nigeria has declared the incumbent state CEO, Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan of the People Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the Delta state gubernatorial poll and he is here by return as elected , the new governor of Delta state till 2015. Announcing the results at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Asaba, the Delta state capital, the State Returning Officer, Mr. Abuhime Richard Amao announced that the total votes cast were 1, 051,229, rejected votes, 33, 995 and valid votes, 1,017,234.
PDP : 525, 793.
DPP : 433, 834.
ACN : 15,526.

Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of the PDP and Chief Great Ogboru, the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, gubernatorial candidate were running neck and neck in the early results available with Dr Uduaghan having a slight lead. Uduaghan was reportedly leading in the two Isoko local government areas, Sapele and Ethiope West while Ogboru was leading in most of the Central local governenment areas and slightly in Patani Local Government Areas. results from Warri were yet to come in.
While Ogboru was reported to be leading in Delta Central Senatorial district, the two candidates were in hot pursuit for the votes in Delta North.
Princess Ajudua, wife of Chief Fred Ajudua (Onwa na etili ora) reportedly shot and seriously wounded. She is a state House of Assembly candidate on the platform of Accord party.

- Victor Ochei relected to House.
- All PDP candidates defeated in Ukwani and Ndokwa West Local Goverments by DPP candidates.
