THE Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), has won 17 of the 26 seats in the Ogun State House of Assembly in the last gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won six while the Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) won three seats.

Five members of the House were re-elected into the Assembly; they are Honourables Remmy Hazzan, Adijat Adeleye-Oladapo, Akintan Job, Abiodun Akofoyan and Adeleke Salmon, while four members of the Assembly failed in their bid for re-election.

Also, the ACN won five Federal Constituencies in the rescheduled House of Representatives elections.

They are Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside, Egbado South/Ipokia, Abeokuta North/Obafemi Owode/Odeda.

Others are Ijebu-Ode/Odogbolu/Ijebu North East and Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North.

They were won respectively by Messers Abiodun Balogun, Isaq Akinlade, Olumide Osoba, Olusegun Odeneye and Taofeeq Bunkunola.

The Ogun State deputy governor, Alhaja Salmot Badru, of PPN lost to Hon. Abiodun Akinlade of ACN in the House of Representatives election.
