The second season of Peak Talent Show competition have commenced. The talent hunt which amplify the Peak slogan It’s in You, creates a platform where young Nigerians can discover and develop diverse talents in music, dancing, singing, or any amazing talent with entertainment value.
Earlier auditions took place in 11 major cities around the country namely: Kaduna, Zaria, Abuja, Jos, Enugu, Asaba, Benin, Ekpoma, Ibadan, Ile-Ife and Lagos.
At the press conference held at Colonades Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos, the Corporate Affairs Manager, Ore Famurewa noted that contestants will be required to showcase their talents before a panel of celebrity judges in each of the cities. “From each zonal audition, four artistes will win an all-expenses-paid trip to Lagos, where they will be housed in the Peak Talent House.”
Famurewa added that contestants will receive further training and coaching in all aspect of music, dance, stage mannerism, among others, which is required in preparing them to participate in the weekly elimination shows. According to him, it will take place at the Peak Talent House with the judges “a viewer is expected to vote for the contestant of their choice by sending an SMS to a particular number short code. “Voting by viewers will lead to the emergence of the star prize winner at the end of the fifth week.”
Famurewa, said judges will base their criteria on stage presence, entertainment value, talent, and ultimately true potentials. “over 40 million naira worth of prizes will be won in season two edition of the talent show. The star prize-winner will get 10 million naira in cash and talent development contract. Viewers will not be left out in the competition. They will also win exciting prizes such as iPads and Nokia TV phones based on their SMS voting.”
Peak Talent Show will run for 13 weeks and will be aired on AIT network, DSTV-Africa Magic, STV (Lagos, Benin and Rivers state), Galaxy Lagos and BCOS Ibadan.

Mean while WINNER of the maiden edition of Peak Talent Show, Yemi Alade disclosed that her participation in the show has enable her to display her God given talent. She encouraged every individual to participant in the second season which is ongoing. Alade, who said she was once a lazy girl who stayed at home without doing anything, disclosed that the introduction of Peak Talent has helped her to improve on her singing talent.

After emerging winner, Alade has gone ahead to release four singles in her forthcoming album, which will be launched January 2011. The songs are titled, Fimisile, Get Out of My Way and My Mistake.
