What is the HCF of 27, 54 and 18?

Wrong,
The LCM of 2,3 and 4 = 12

And Back to your Question ;
Factors of 27 = 1,3,9,27
Factors of 54 = 1,2,3,6,9,16,27,54
Factors of 18 = 1,2,3,6,9,18
So the Common factors of 27,54 and 18 are 1,3, and 9
The Answer to your question = 9 I.e the Highest common factor

therefore ,the probability that Buhari will not contest is 1- 1/9 = 8/9.

2x + 9 =-2

the factors will be ,what we will multiply to get - 3 and add to get 2

the two likely factors are 3 and -1
i.e 3 *-1 =-3
3-1 =2
there fore >>x2 +3x-x-3 =0

x(x+3) -1(x+3)=0

There fore either x-1=0 or x+3=0

x-1=0 (Collecting like times)
x=1

x+3=0
x=-3

So the answer to x2+2x-3=0
x=1 or x=-3 QED
