Hello Games founder Sean Murray takes to Twitter to confirm the delay of the PC version of No Manís Sky, and explains why the game was delayed on PC and not PS4.

For many, the ambitious No Manís Sky is one of the most anticipated games of the year. The gameís PS4 release date is set for this coming Tuesday, August 9th, but PC gamers havenít been quite as sure when to expect the game. The confusion started a couple of weeks ago, the website for Hello Games listed its PC release as August 12th, though its Steam page still had it listed for release on August 9th alongside the PS4 version. Hello Games founder Sean Murray has now cleared things up, offering official confirmation that No Manís Sky on PC is coming August 12th worldwide.

Murray stressed that the PC release for No Manís Sky is ďnow global,Ē indicating that it would have otherwise released on PC on different days in other regions. Murray stated that that he feels a global release is best for everyone playing the game on PC, and if it werenít for the physical retail release for the PlayStation 4 version, itís possible that it would have been delayed on PS4 as well. ďRetail forces us to be staggered on PS4,Ē Murray explained.
