Wink Learn more about Nigerians.

There are so many things we do not know about ourselves. One of them, I think, is on joking relationship between our various tribes. Example: The Tivs are joking relations of the Fulanis. So here are the game rules.
1. Name a joking relation you know.
2. Name a member who in turn names a relationship and another member
3. No fabrications.

So here goes: The NUPE and KATSINA people.
Over to Maaik.

Mike has appeal to Caesar and I don't want to say "To Caesar ,shall he go",Therefore , Before he see the Caesars of this forum,I will like to bail him out,If I am allowed.
1 The Nupes and the Kastina People ; They are what we can termed play mates, the Katsina people usually calll the Nupes there slaves (In a joking manner) and the Nupes usually resent by saying they are the people that cause the Katsina people to shine there eyes,This relationship is so deeply engraved in the heart of both parties to the extent that they consider themselves as brothers.
2 Idoma and Tiv ; From the same state,Probably shared the same ancestors.
3 Igbira history is tied to that of their neighbors, the Jukun and the Igala. Oral history claims that these people originally came from the east and entered Nigeria betwen the Mandarra highlands and Lake Chad sometime during the last thousand years. It is believed that Igala broke away from Jukun, and the Igbira broke away from the Igala.

I was born A Nigerian.
I'm Proud of it.
I am a die Hard Fan of Nigeria.

I am A Nigerian.

Ok let me explain the Tiv-Fulani joking relationship.Well The Fulani's claim that years ago during their Nomadic trek through Benue, their cows were Left unattended. Seeing this as an opportunity, a group of Tiv men took one of them, killed, cooked and ate it. When the Men were Confronted by the Fulani's all they could say was 'Munchi'- which means, 'we ate' in Hausa. Thus following this history the fulani's call the Tiv's 'Munchi'.

.Excellent, I have heard the name "Munchi " before but never knew the story behind it.

"Cowards die many times before their deaths but The valiant never taste of death but once.Of all the wonders that I yet have heard,It seems to me most strange that men should fear;Seeing that death, a necessary end,Will come when it will come."

1, When Caesar speaks...! We shall catch Maaik outside the Arena yet.
2. The Kanuris and the Fulani have a joking relationship.

3. To add to the 'Munchi' story. What really happened was that the Tiv people planted their yams and there was a plague of locusts. They sent to Kaduna for assistance and a team was sent. But before they arrived, a farmer was so annoyed with the
invasion that he set his small farm on fire burning all the Locusts. The burnt flesh of the locusts had an aroma he liked. So he picked a burnt locust and tested it. In no time, his family and the whole village were feasting. Then on, farmer after farmer started
burning their farms and the locusts and feasting. When the Kaduna Team arrived and asked about the invaders, the Tiv (pronounced: Teef) people said 'Munchi
