online journalism not much of a problem to traditional journalism

  1. Ogwuche Pius
many will be anticipating that online journalism will completely swallow traditional journalism but the truth is that, online journalism is a force that has been recognized as one of the best form of journalism in which every news event is been reported instantaneously as it happens but we can not say that online journalism will be sent to the grave because of the dominance of online journalism. we must realize that many people still stick to the traditional media for the news and other things, in this situation we can not say that the audience o the traditional media will go for online journalism most especially the old people who will prefer to watch television or listen to radio than go to the net and get information, this means the traditional media is still effective in the society today. in a nutshell, we can say that online journalism is not that of a threat to traditional journalism because today, traditional journalism has imbibed or adapted some of the features of online journalism like reporters reporting from location. so with the come of online journalism, it will only serve as a compliment to traditional journalism and not as a replacement for it.
