Default Hillary Clinton blames Nigeria leaders for extremism

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has blamed failings by Nigerian leaders for increasing "radicalisation" among young Nigerians.
She pointed to poor living standards and "unbelievable" corruption.
Mrs Clinton was speaking after a young Nigerian man from a wealthy family was accused of trying to blow up a plane over the US on Christmas Day.
She said she believed that bombing suspect Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab was "disturbed by his father's wealth".
The Nigerian government has not responded to Mrs Clinton's criticism.
    Anti-state uprisings
Nigeria is one of the world's biggest oil exporters but most of its people live in poverty.
With its large impoverished Muslim population and oil industry, Western diplomats have long feared that Nigeria could be a prime target for al-Qaeda.

There has to be a recognition that in the last 10 years, a lot of the indicators about quality of life in Nigeria have gone the wrong direction

But there have been no known al-Qaeda attacks in the country.
However, there have been several violent uprisings against the state by local radical Muslim sects.
Mrs Clinton was speaking at a "town hall" meeting with state department officials.
"I do think that Nigeria faces a threat from increasing radicalisation that needs to be addressed, and not just by military means," she said.
"There has to be a recognition that, in the last 10 years, a lot of the indicators about quality of life in Nigeria have gone the wrong direction.
"The information we have on the Christmas Day bomber so far seems to suggest that he was disturbed by his father's wealth and the kind of living conditions that he viewed as being not Islamic enough."
Nigeria's government has condemned the measures, saying 150 million Nigerians should not be blamed for the actions of one man.
Nigerian officials have also sought to distance their country from the alleged bomber - stressing that he left the country 10 years ago.

When I read such high profile interviews, Lord Winston Churchill comes to mind when during the war he said "In war time the truth must always be attended by a bodyguard of lies". So in peace times, must human suffering be attended by a bodyguard of diplomatic nonsense? America has been aware of our problems for decades or, to be precise, in the last ten years. How many times during the last 10 years have they sanctioned any of the Leaders that brought such havoc on the nation? Did they not wine and dine in their cities and rubbed shoulders with them in such forums as try to save mankind? Who is deceiving who? You see, more questions only.

But if we can not solve our problem that should be our Cup of team because " every hoe hoes towards itself".Nobody expect much from a Man who do not expect much from himself,As America is doing their own ,Our leaders suppose to be doing our own.
Needless to say ,I like this Hillary, she has not been sparing Nigeria since she assume office.Great Lady.

You may be right. No one can solve our problems for us but ourselves. By the same token, no one should further muddy the waters for us in our quest to solve our problems by aiding and abetting the rouge elements within us. You can best preach morality when yours is beyond question. My dear, if you fart in the mighty Ocean at a depth of seven fathoms, the bubble-no matter how small-will surface.

    That is true
But my point still is this ,If you call your house dustbin ,people will help you put dirt there. It is not a question of morality but a struggle,After all they did not object to slave trade then.I think it is better for us to understand that we are doing our self before they undo us.
