    I see no sense in the zoning of Leadership,This should be based on competence and I will sound it again COMPETENCE not zoning or tribalization,that is the only way.Like a quotation I saw somewhere Indeed ;
    "People forget that Zik won election in Ibadan while Malam Umaru Altine was the 1st elected Chairman of Enugu and Felix Okonkwo was a member of the Northern House of Chiefs. We need to... return to One Nigeria were merit not tribe drives politics."

    A very good opening by Chinex. I was hoping that the active members will bless this issue now that a lot of interest has been generated by this forum. We can help shape our own destiny. I know for a fact that more than 120 members of NASS viewed this forum yesterday and their verdict was pleasant to my ears.

    Zonning of power is as a result of greed,it is detrimental to the development of any society,Imagine zoning power inyour House,After you, then your wife ,Then you zone to your kids,Irespective of competence.In the name of justice and avoiding Nepotism.

    So what do you say ,When a group of people have been at the helm of Power since the beginning of a Nation and they consider it their right to remain so.Not minding the fact that the production is not at best,yet they are refuse to let go ?.

    The intelligence of every society is = The intelligent of Her leaders.In the world of John Maxwell "Everything rises and fall on Leadership".
    The nation will not rise above the intelligent of its Leaders ,which in this case is the political parties.
    Think of here (The United State),things are averagely okay ,because of thoughtfulness that exist in the parties ,Good also to realised that ,parties in the State is about the majority of its members and not majority of its cabal or Godfathers.

    The zoning may not be all that bad ,Since it is done to avoid Nepotism and Marginalization which has become the order of the day,How long can we wait untill the people marginalizing become correct.Zonning there fore becomes imperative.
