The irrevocable promise...
A fourty five(45) years old man married a lady who was in her 30s.
After four years of marriage without an issue,the man got up one morning and invited his wife for a morning prayer.
In his prayers,he said,"God if you can give to me children,i promise to them after you".
A year later,they had their first child(a son) and he named him Godspower.
They were blessed with yet another child(a girl).She as the father promised was named Godsgift.
Oh you can imagine how happy the man was.
After two years,the man from the same woman had another son.This time around,the child was blind and speech-impaired.
On the day of dedication,the man was asked to disclose the childs name.Since he had promised to be naming his children after God,he said,"i stand here with great grieve in my heart for such a tempting gift to pronounce the name of my second son as; Godforbid Richard Ibok".
