The office of the Accountant General of the Federation [AGF] has disbursed 2.7 trillion Naira to the federal, states and local governments between January and September 2010.

The AGF, Mr. Ibrahim Dankwambo gave the figures in Abuja at the 2009/2010 score card press briefing, revealing that the nation's capital expenditure for the year 2010 stands at 46.9 percent.

He said that the disbursement is the summary of statutory distribution and Value Added Tax (VAT) for 2009 to September 2010.

The AGF said that the federal, states and local governments got N2.749 trillion in the statutory distribution and N415.42 in the summary of VAT distribution from January to September 2010.

According to the distribution, the Federal Government got the largest amount of N1.291 trillion, while the states and local governments got N945.76 billion and N513.11 respectively in the statutory distribution.

In the VAT distribution, the Federal Government got N62.31billion while the states and local governments got N207.72 billion and N145.39 respectively.

He said the AGF office had from January to December 2009 disbursed about N2.831 trillion to federal, states and local governments in the statutory distribution.

According to the 2009 disbursements, the Federal Government got N1.353 trillion while states and local governments got N948.8 billion and N529.31 billion respectively.

In the same vein, the AGF said a total of N449.67 bilion of Value Added Tax (VAT) was also distributed to the three ties of government from January to 31 December 2009.

While the Federal Government got N67.45 billion, the states and local governments got N224.83 billion and N157.39 billion respectively.

The AGF said that from the statements of recurrent and capital funds released for 2009, the sum of N1.192 trillion was cash backed of which N913.368 billion or 76.6 percent was utilized.

He explained that for 2010, the sum of N530.464 billion was cash backed out of which N278.881 billion was utilized as at 30th September 2010 which translates to a capital performance of 53.47 percent.

On the fiscal and consolidated income and expenditure for 2009 up to Oct. 2010, the Accountant General said that N1.797.00 trillion was the net VAT disbursed as augmentation and special distribution from the excess crude account.

He said that in 2009, N518.68 billion was disbursed as special distribution while N783.65 billion was augmentation shared from the excess crude.

He said that as at October 2010, VAT disbursed as special distribution was N442.82 while N51.85 billion was for augmentation.

The AGF explained that the total oil revenue budgeted for 2010 was N1, 950.00 trillion between January to Oct 2010, what has accrued was N1, 553.62 trillion with a variance of N-397.1 billion.

He added that the total non-oil revenue budgeted for 2010 was N412.33 billion� and N273.45 billion had accrued� as at October 31 2010 with a variance of� N-138.88 billion or -50.79 per cent .

He said that the total revenue in the federation account budgeted for 2010 was N2, 363.05 trillion and as at October, N1, 827.07 trillion had accrued with a variance of N535.98 or 29.34 per cent.
