Super Eagles assistant coach, Fatai Amoo has been appointed the new Chief Coach of Shooting Stars Sports Club(3SC) He replaced Phillip Boamah who was axed last December after a string of poor results.

The development finally lays to rest the several months of speculation regarding a substantive coach for the team.

In defending the choice of Amoo as Chief Coach, club General Manager, Mutiu Adepoju stressed that the former Julius Berger handler has the experience and technical know-how to make a difference.

"Fatai Amoo is one of the best coaches available and his experience will come very handy for us at this time," says Adepoju.

"We have gone through a pain-staking process to arrive at our choice, and we sincerely hope his appointment will usher in a new beginning for the club in terms of results," added Adepoju, a member of Nigeria's World Cup squads of 1994, 1998 and 2002.

3SC had been without a substantive handler since December last year when Boamah was sacked, prompting Mutiu Adepoju to combine his official portfolio as General Manager with that of interim coach.
