Abuja — Thirty five teams will participate in the 2010 FCT football league beginning today. The championship, which is been sponsored by Daniel Kanu Youth Foundation, will gulped about N10 million. According to the sponsor of the championship, Mr. Daniel Kanu, the championship will provide an avenue for the youths to channel their energy and effectively promote youth development via sports competitions, imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship in Nigerian youths and provide a positive and healthy form of entertainment for them. Mr. Kanu implored all lovers of the game to embrace it to fullest and support whatever effort that the government is making.

The competition which gets underway today will attracts the minister of the federal Capital territory and who is who in football administration in the country. The sponsorship package has being pegged at N10, 000.000 while the winner of the competition going home with a giant trophy and N250,000, and will also represent FCT in the 2011 National Division 3 League.
