•As Anyansi beats Chukwu to clinch South-East slot
THE drama that threatened to overshadow yesterday's NFF election at the International Conference Centre in Garki, Abuja, was complete when Chris Green, chairman of the Rivers State Football

Association defeated former Super Eagles skipper, Austin Okocha and sports broadcaster, Aisha Falode with a landslide margin.

Green, a legal practitioner, polled 25 votes to clinch the remaining South-South slot, beating Okocha, Collin Eselemo, Sunny Goli and Falode to secure his slot in the first ballot. Okocha could only get 8 votes, Goli 6, Eselemo 2 while Falode got a solitary vote.

Similarly, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, the long-serving chairman of Enyimba International of Aba finally realised his ambition to serve in the Executive Committee of the NFF.

Anyansi did it by the skin of his teeth at the expense of former ' international, Christian Chukwu, Iloeje and Iwuagwu. The Enyimba boss got 21 votes, beating Chukwu who got 19 votes, Iwuagwu finished with 12 votes.
