Sunday’s 2012 Africa Cup of Nations Group B qualifying match between Ethiopia and Nigeria in Addis Ababa will kicked off at 2pm Nigerian time (4pm local time).

The 118-seater Boeing 737-300 belonging to Air Nigeria will take off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, at 7pm Nigerian time, to arrive in Addis Ababa at 2am on Sunday, Ethiopian time.

It was gathered that everything has been done to guarantee the comfort of the players on board this flight so that they will be fresh and battle ready by the time they arrive high altitude Ethiopia.

However, Nigerian fans may not get to watch the game live on television as the private station African Independent Television (AIT) has jettisoned its plans to beam the match live because of the staggering cost.

“We have been asked to pay $150,000 to transmit this match. This is outside our budget,” a top manager at AIT informed MTNFootball.com.

With six points from three games, the Super Eagles are second behind leaders Guinea, who have recorded seven points.

Ethiopia are third with three points, while Madagascar are at the foot of the standings with a point.

But after they humbled world power Argentina 4-1 in a friendly at the Abuja National Stadium Wednesday, the Eagles are not lacking confidence and a go-go spirit to win maximum points in Ethiopia.
