The Bauchi side have appointed the former Pillars and Flamingos handlers to tinker the team in the coming season

Wikki Tourists have disclosed that they have completed the acquisition of Mohammed Babaganaru as the new Technical Adviser and have also named Bala Nikyu as the Bauchi side’s chief coach with the details of the contracts and financial implications kept under wrap.

The chairman of the 2017 Caf Confederation Cup hopeful, Isa Matori informed that the Technical Committee appointed by the club and headed by its Coordinator General, Auwalu Babajada screened over 10 coaches for the exalted positions before the choice of Babaganaru and Nikyu were presented to the management.

He told Goal: “We have appointed Mohammed Babaganaru as our technical adviser and Bala Nikyu as the chief coach.

“They were picked after a rigorous exercise by the Technical Committee chaired by our Coordinator General, Auwalu Babajada and other members of the committee.

“They said 11 coaches applied for the two positions and that they were all screened and interviewed before the present two were nominated.”

Babaganaru coached Kano Pillars last season before resigning after an unsuccessful stint while Nikyu was the head coach of the Nigeria’s U17 Women’s National team, Flamingos which was eliminated in the first round of the recently concluded FIFA U17 World Cup hosted by Jordan.
