Three more senators have decamped from the People's Democratic Party [PDP] to the Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] and the Congress for Progressive Change [CPC].
The three lawmakers cited differences in the PDP and the inability of the national leadership of the party to solve the problems in their states.
Senator Danlami Ikanye from Taraba state, Senator Adegho Eferiakeya from Delta state decamped to ACN while Senator Umar Argungu from Kebbi decamped to Congress for Progressive Change [CPC].
Before the announcement of the move by the lawmakers, some members of the People's Democratic Party opposed the defection saying the lawmakers did not give convincing reasons for their defection as stipulated by the law.
Despite the stiff opposition against the move, the Senate President, Senator David Mark ruled the opposing lawmakers out of order and allowed the three decamping Senators to move to the political party of their choices.
