Some members of the People's Democratic Party [PDP] and Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] in the central senatorial district of Kogi State have defected to the All Nigeria People's Party [ANPP].

Welcoming the new members into the ANPP fold, a leading member of the party, Dr. Moses Wokil led other politicians from PDP and ACN in a rally at Okene headquarters of the central senatorial district of the state to formally join the ANPP.

A spokesman of the defectors and former member of the state Assembly, Hon. Mark Ohiani, disclosed that their decision was informed by their desire to liberate themselves politically.

He noted that they had decided to take their destiny in the own hands after discovering that they had no political future in their former parties, considering the way and manner some cabal had taken delight in subjugating others, without recourse to justice and fairness.
