Former Minister of Information, Prince Tony Momoh, has emerged the national chairman of Congress for Progressive Change, following the party’s national convention held on Tuesday in Abuja.
Momoh defeated Mrs. Joy Okunnu in a keenly contested election, as he scored 1930 votes to Okunnu’s 1114. In his validectory speech, Momoh expressed appreciation to the delegates for electing him and promised to live up to expectations.
Momoh replaced the pro-tem National Chairman, Senator Rufai Hanga. Alhaji Buba Galadima was elected unopposed as the secretary of the party.
