The Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] has stated its readiness to accommodate the defeated candidate in the Peoples Democratic Party's presidential primaries holding on Thursday, to run against the winner on its platform.

The ACN national chairman, Mr. Bisi Akande told Reuters news agency that with the ACN holding its primaries on Friday; it makes it possible for the losing PDP candidate to run for the opposition party's ticket.

Mr. Akande says if by any chance any PDP member who decamped to CAN is fit or is adjudged fit by the national committee, definitely we will accept such people.

Meanwhile, another ACN presidential aspirant and former EFCC chairman Mr. Nuhu Ribadu has welcomed competition from anyone who could help the country defeat the PDP.

Mr. Ribadu says he has no problem with the defeated PDP candidate contesting for his party's ticket, or with the ACN linking up with any other opposition parties, provided the nominee is chosen democratically.
