ACTION Congress of Nigeria (ACN) aspiring to elective offices in Delta State yesterday thronged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office and police headquarters in Asaba, protesting alleged absolute lack of internal democracy and godfatherism in the party.

They accused the party’s leadership of “brazenly assuming the role of one-man electoral committee for the primary election.”

In a protest letter tagged ‘Petition on Non-Conduct of Primaries and Imposition of Candidates’, the party’s aspirant for Aniocha South seat at the state House of Assembly, Apostle Victor Sorokwu, asked for a blanket cancellation of all primaries organised by the party.
