THERE is a cold war between the Kaduna State Governor, Mr. Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, and his deputy, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramallan Yero, leading to pressure on the governor to drop his youthful second-in-command.
Indication emerged yesterday that Yakowa may indeed drop Yero before the April governorship election in the state.
Most of the new bill boards erected across the state for this year’s polls have only the pictures of Yakowa, an indication that all is not well between the duo.
For instance, new billboards with the inscription, “Yakowa Nakowa 2011”, are on the Kaduna bridge and the Station Roundabout. They have only the governor’s picture.
