THE founder of the Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said no political party owns Nigeria.

Speaking in Omu-Aran, Kwara State, during a press conference, shortly after the dedication of the newly established Landmark University, he said Nigerians owned Nigeria.

He added that the political parties were just tenants, while Nigerians were the landlords.

Bishop Oyedepo said all Nigerians should ensure security of lives and property during the election, adding that this is where education plays vital role.

He urged Nigerians to vote for the candidates of their choice during the elections.

On whether it was proper for pastors to go into politics, Bishop Oyedepo said politics was a game of the public.

According to him, politics was a business for who chose to participate in it, adding that anybody could venture into politics, even if such person was an imam, pastor or even pope.

The Bishop of the Winners Chapel said it was not a crime if clerics decided to join politics, as he prayed for the nation to witness free and fair elections.

“Anybody that wins is my candidate during the election and we will support such candidate,” he said.

On the establishment of the Landmark University, Bishop Oyedepo said it was not a product of ambition but a liberating mission.

He noted that Landmark University, which commenced with 67 students, was set to ignite a national revolution in Nigeria.

Oyedepo said Landmark University would commence with three colleges, namely agriculture, engineering and business and social sciences.
