President Goodluck Jonathan has addressed the Nation today, expressing his feelings of disappointment and frustration with the postponement of the National Assembly Elections.
He however commended Nigerians for their patriotism and understanding with the Independent National Electoral Commission, while appealing to them to come out once again on Saturday and on all subsequent election days, to cast their vote.
President Jonathan expressed his faith in INEC�s re-assurance that the elections will be free and fair, and he promised that adequate security will be provided for all Nigerians during the elections.
He further called on all politicians to shun violence. In his words Nigeria is bigger than anyone of us no ones political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian.
In addition, President Jonathan thanked the international community for their support and good will. He then urged all Nigerians to continue to pray for the nation so as to achieve peaceful and orderly elections.
