A bomb blast at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] in Suleja, Niger State has claimed the lives of at least six people and left several injured.
The spokesperson of the State Security Service, Ms Marilyn Ogar confirmed that most of the casualties are members of the National Youth Service Corp [NYSC], who are probably serving as ad hoc staff of the electoral body.
However an eyewitness account said that the incident which occurred at about 5.30pm on Friday in Kumba area of Suleja could have claimed about twenty lives.
The eyewitness also added that the casualties were corps members who were checking their postings for today's national assembly election.
Suleja already saw a bombing at a political rally in March, an explosion that killed at least four people and left another 20 wounded.
