Dr. Bukola Saraki is headed for victory in the Nigerian National Assembly elections which were held yesterday, April 9, 2011. the ruling PDP appear to have swept all seats contested in Kwara State. Political watchers are presently awaiting the announcement of official results, which should begin by 3am this morning.However, this seems like a mere formality, as the indications are that the PDP has won a decisive victory in Kwara State. The conduct of the elections were peaceful, although 4 people were arrested for being in possession of fake voter registration cards.
