The United States Government has advised the Independent National Electoral Commission to build on the success recorded during last saturday's National Assembly elections.
At a short meeting at the Headquarters of the Commission, the United States Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Johnnie Carson, commended the Commission for its conduct of the elections despite some challenges.
The Chairman of the Electoral Commission, Professor Attahiru Jega, said the Commission will be meeting with State Resident Electoral Commissioners on Tuesday to ensure that challenges observed are rectified before the next elections.
