For the first time in my life, I am in total accord with "militants". The Acting President made a very bad decision. There was no doubt that it was a photo-opportunity visit for himself and a chance to moan to the Leaders that he had not seen the President since his incapacitation. What he did simply shows that he is not his own man because none of the world leaders said or did anything as unstatesman like as Jonathan, since they know that Nigeria is greater than Jonathan or 'Yar Adua. To have gone to America, without something to show such Hawks as collected there that will further benefit them, just to open your nyash so they could see where you poo-poo, is the act of a self-pitying Idiot. Under normal circumstances, they use you and dump you- and you stay dumped. But when you have nothing they can use, they simply bury you. A right thinking man with good advice, would have concentrated on making a difference in his own landscape in the shortest possible time. That sort of change makes people to notice you unsolicited, and accord you the place you deserve. Sitting on a swing chair in your ten-gallon hat on the side of Obama never makes you the man you are not.

Yet, I don't see anything wrong with what he did,Is it not worse that Yaradua could not allow his vice and acting to see him ?,Is that act not more idiotic than Goodluck's act,If you are in his show, what will you do?.A man of his cadre do not know where Yaradua is,yet I read today that turai and the cabal are angry, angry over what?

If I were in his shoes, I would not travel to the US. I would have used the travel money and the days to go round all power installations in Nigeria, and direct immediate repair of those that can be repaired quickly, and have full knowledge, first hand, of their stages of disrepair. Remember, I am also the Power Minister. I would capitalize on the present goodwill of the people and move mountains, especially those that hinder visibility to growth. I would humble myself to call together all the known good NIGERIANS from all corners and put our problems before them and ask for solutions. I would worry only about failing the people, than care about Turai or any one else being angry. As an Acting President of a non-nuclear country, I would shun the nuclear conference and confer time and resources to removing darkness from Nigerian homes. In fact Chinex there are a million and one more benefitial things to do, if I were in his shoes, than going to US. There are so many things you can do in 48 hours.

Jonathan went to US to redeem our image and relationship with U.S ,which has been jeopardized by Yar'adua and the suicide boy,I see nothing wrong in his visitation. The money he used iis nothing compare to the money, the cabal are using.

KK, I beg to disagree with you. I pitch tent with Kontis and Chinex. Jonathan's visit to US does more than declare in flesh and blood to the power(s) who is really in charge of naija, after all that comedy of error that tested our democracy until we shoved in the "doctrine of necessity" to save the lacuna in our constitution! Do you know we where at the verge of anarchy. A coup was staring us in the face as in Niger Republic. Jonathan remains a shadow unless actually seen touched and felt outside our shores to authenticate the relevance of our dear country. We've come a long way. It's a step at a time. He is not the messiah, only a John the baptiser. His shot stay is ushering in a new era for the nation...power situation will change, we need someone tough enough to unsit the cabal

Do you know we where at the verge of retrogression; a coup was staring us in the face exemplified by Niger Republic? Jonathan remains a shadow unless actually seen touched and felt outside our shores to authenticate the relevance of our dear country. We've come a long way. It's a step at a time. He is not the messiah, maybe he's only a John baptiser. Permit a few false starts. His steps are ushering in a new era for the nation...power situation is changing. The decay ate too deep. However, I agree with you on need for someone tough enough to act on issues such as unsitting the power cabal.
