Both Chambers of the Federal Legislature passed a resolution to fill the leadership vacuum created by the failure of the ailing president to transmit a written letter as provided by Section 145.
The Senate was the first to pass the resolution, consequent upon a motion moved by the Senate Leader, Senator Teslim Folarin and seconded by the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu.
