QUES:
Why did the upper and lower houses of the Nigerian Parliament decide to rely on our ailing president's voice on BBC to judge the state of his health and conclude that he has given sufficient clue or notice to warrant their awarding Jonathan another good luck to step up into the bigger shoe?

Please examine the following possible answers:
1. When the Abuja H'Court gave FEC ultimatum to decide on the president's state of health, senate (in trying to avoid blame) pushed the ball into the presidency's own football court, requesting that he should send a letter to the VP to take over. There was no response.
2.Then the senate's attempt to visit Yar'dua was resisted. Instead his inner circle said his voice was enough for them; they should be contented with that. My question is, why didn't BBC receive invitation to come and see the sick man face to face and interview him, why phone when there is BBC representation in Saudi?
3. Then the senate now said, "as we have heard his voice on BBC radio and we are not sure whether it is him indeed, we will use the same voice to judge him. He did not phone us, did not write us, did not write Jonathan but decided to phone BBC instead of us that represent the Nigerian People; let us therefore rely on that same voice on BBC and conclude that he is sick and has communicated!". So assuming some electronic voice configuration was used to make it sound like Yar'dua, you can imagine how the creators of that stunt will feel now that the same stunt has been used to foil their plot!!!!![]()
