NEMA says prompt emergency management and residents' alertness saved the day

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has disclosed that no life was lost in the explosion that occurred on Sunday night at Tudun Wada area in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

The Head, Public Relations Unit of the agency, Yushau Shuaib, said NEMA officials who were at the scene to attend to victims did not record grievous casualties, whether dead or seriously injured.

"Therefore, no dead was recorded due to prompt response of agencies and volunteers and level of awareness on security consciousness among the people," he said.
