Zinox boosts Lagos security with van donation. Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) has received four Toyota Hilux security panel vans donated to the State Security Trust Fund by the Zinox Group, reiterating that the officers and men who are the beneficiaries must continue to use them for the purpose they were donated.
The Governor spoke after the handover of the keys to the vehicles to him at the open grounds of Lagos House, Ikeja by the Chairman of Zinox Technologies Limited, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh who had earlier described the State as a case study of civilization.
The Governor added that the law enforcement agents must remember that the citizens who provide the taxes and also the vehicles in some cases are the citizens out there they are out to protect, not brutalise.
He thanked Zinox Group for identifying with the security challenges and security successes of the state, urging other individuals to join the community action and efforts to strengthen and deepen the capacity to protect the people.
Governor Fashola stated that the gesture by Zinox group is not only entrepreneurship at its best but also a deep sense of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) by the organization which is not only taxpaying but employing the people.
“They contribute their quota and after paying their taxes, they dig deep and make this type of donation in support of security. For me, this is a call beyond duty and we have had a commitment also in support of the development of the minds of young people by building the human capital for the future”.
The Chairman of Zinox Group, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh while speaking, said the Governor has done a good job, they are proud of him and what he has done and would continue to support him, adding that the donation is the first step of what the Zinox Group intends to do.
“We will give content to four schools in Lagos State. We are putting in the first N50Million between now and September in those schools and they will be profiled schools in the country”, Chief Ekeh added.
The Governor had earlier held a meeting alongside with some members of the State Executive Council including the Deputy Governor, Hon (Mrs) Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Commissioner for Education, Mrs Olayinka Oladunjoye and Science and Technology, Mr Fatai Mabadeje with the team from Zinox Technologies Limited led by its Chairman, Chief Leo Stan Ekeh.Zinox boosts Lagos security with van donation
