Eleven suspected drug traffickers have been apprehended at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

According to the airport commander of the NDLEA, Alhaji Hamza Umar, about 7.62kg of cocaine had been recovered from the suspects while two others are still under observation.

Alhaji Umar says drug traffickers have commenced their usual end of year rush to make money for the yuletide, but warned them to desist from the criminal act or dare the agency and be arrested.

The apprehended suspects include Ohamadike Echezona Donald 36, Obinna Chinaka Franklyn 31, Ezekwem Chimaobi Nicholas 38, Momodu Jibril Festus 33, Onyedum Vincent Alochukwu 36, Babatunde Bamidele Joseph 39, Chinonye Ezikiel Franklyn 37, Obasi Jonathan 32, and Ofoegba Benson Nzeribe 32.

Others are Ehimare Solomon 37 and Ezeagba Paul Sunday 32, who are both under observation. The eleven suspected drug traffickers will soon be charged to court.
