Suspected Fulani mercenaries, on Saturday, invaded Ome community in Obi Local government Area of Nasarawa State and rendered the natives homeless, even though no death was recorded.

The suspected attackers, who numbered about 200, raided the community and shot sporadically to scare the people and set houses ablaze.

An eyes witness, Joel Auta, who escaped from the attack, said the attackers were well armed with AK 47 rifles.

According to Auta, we have been relocated for scare of attack more than once now.

“When we went out of our village to neighbouring community and come back, these people would give us notice of their visit and people will go out, and they have given us two times.”
