my friend, a final year student of Madonna University (OKIJA campus), related this story to me.

She told me that a few days ago she got permission to leave school in order to attend to her health. She boarded a bus in Okija, where her school is located and somewhere in Uli she was tapped from behind by an old man who requested that she should help her pass on his bus fare to the bus conductor.

For whatever reason, she politely told the old man to hang on to his money until he is about to alight from the bus. A young girl sitting beside her volunteered to assist the old. But immediately she collected the money and handed it over to the bus conductor, she started behaving like a mentally deranged person. This now made everybody in the bus to suspect that something was amiss!

The bus came to a halt, the driver came down and asked all the passengers to disembark. He grabbed the old man and insisted that he should undo whatever he had done to the young girl. The man confessed that the money the girl collected from him was charmed. can,t we change?

People gathered, blows, slaps and kicks landed on the old man. He begged the mob not to kill him. He told them that the she will become well if he sucks her nipple. The women amongst the crowd resisted and more slaps landed on the old man. Eventually, ‘wise’ reasoning prevailed and he was allowed to suck her nipple before he would be lynched..

My friend told me that right before everybody’s eyes, immediately the man’s lips touched the girl’s nipple, THE TWO OF THEM DISAPPEARED!!!!!!!!!!!! Everybody took to their heels! She’s giving a testimony in her church this Sunday.

Chineke!!! This is what my pastor taught us the other day. "You do not assist people because you are available but because you are led". Religious teachers, scribes and moralists taught us to always help the aged that God will make people to help us when we are old. Have you seen the contradiction now?
In rendering succor to people man or woman, aged or young we need discriminating sight. That young woman had a superior coverage that saved her, i believe!

We have to do something fast about these weird things happening in our country. People don't respect lives again, all in an attempt to make money or gain power and all sorts of mundane things. I think we should start by eliminating all fetish shrines and their owners/attendants. Secondly, we should start probing sudden wealths and fame to ascertain their sources. Any unexplainable or strange wealths and positions should attract some sanctions, social and legal. Finally, our leaders should stop flaunting their obscene wealth in the face of massive poverty, unemployment and want. Rather, they should use their wealth to help others and influence government to restore hope to the common man. Otherwise, the hopeless and hungry youths and elders alike will look for a way of solving their problems by hook or by crook. Poverty and harsh living conditions have a way of dulling the conscience. Let us do something fast!
