Two men face drug-related offences after officers from Alberta's ALERT (Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams) organization searched a southwest Calgary home.

With help from the Calgary Police Service, ALERT’s Combined Special Forces Enforcement Unit-Calgary arrested the two men and searched a home in the 1800 block of 26 Avenue Southwest.

Officers found over two litres of gamma hydroxybutyric (GHB), commonly known as the "date-rape drug." The search also revealed a small quantity of ecstasy, miscellaneous drug paraphernalia and over $8,000 in cash, police said in a release Monday.

The two men, aged 22 and 25, face drug charges and one count each of possessing the proceeds of crime. The 25-year-old also faces a charge of breach of recognizance.
