Slidell -- A 46-year-old man is in jail on charges of obscenity and indecent behavior with a juvenile.

Deputies arrested Max Taylor Wednesday, after an investigation into a Dec. 29 incident involving a 15-year-old.

"A Slidell-area resident reported an incident to the Sheriff’s Office... regarding an adult male exposing himself to her grandson," reads a news release from the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Department. "According to the grandmother, her 15-year-old grandson was playing in a wooded area near Haas Rd. in Slidell when he happened upon a parked tan Mazda Protégé. Upon coming into contact with the vehicle, the occupant, Taylor, exited the vehicle with his pants around his ankles and his genitals exposed."

Deputies say Taylor then got back into his vehicle and drove past the boy. "Taylor rolled his window down and propositioned the boy for oral sex," says the news release. "The boy refused Taylor’s sexual advancement and went home to report the incident."

The teen noted the license tag number on the vehicle and reported it to investigators, who tracked down Taylor. "During an interview with detectives, Taylor confessed that he was masturbating in his vehicle when the boy walked up on him," says the release. "He went on to admit that he did in fact solicit oral sex from the boy as he left in his vehicle."

Taylor faces a $3,500 bond on the obscenity charge and a $25,000 bond on the indecent behavior charge.
