Abia State governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has condemned the Easter Day bomb in Kaduna which killed about 40 people, saying it was unthinkable to use Easter Day to kill fellow human beings.

He described the act as “barbaric, inhuman and unwarranted”, and prayed that those who committed the act would not escape God’s punishment.

The governor, who spoke through his spokesman, Ugochukwu Emezue, said that it was unthinkable for anybody to choose a day that Christians were marking the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to
kill fellow compatriots.

According to him, those who committed barbaric, inhuman, and unwarranted act will not escape the wrath of the Almighty God.

He noted that both Christianity and Islam preached peace, and wondered why some people derived pleasure in killing innocent citizens under
whatever guise.

Commiserating with the family of the victims and government of Kaduna State, Orji urged those responsible for this show of shame to change and embrace peace and love.
