The Kaduna State Commissioner for Inter-Governmental Affairs, Alhaji Haruna Kargi, has been arrested by the police for allegedly inciting political thugs who attacked the chairman of the PDP House of Assembly primary election in Kubau constituency, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga.

Also, a serving member of the Kaduna State House of Assembly representing Kubau who was a candidate in the primary election, Alhaji Muntaka Bashir Zuntu, has been declared wanted by the police in connection with the attack on Bajoga who is lying critically ill at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Shika, Zaria.

The Zaria Area Commander of the Nigeria police, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim, who confirmed the arrest of the commissioner, said Kargi was alleged to have incited political thugs to cause violence and disaffection during the recent conduct of the PDP House of Assembly primaries in Kubau constituency.

The area commander added that the Zuntu who was a candidate in the primary election was also alleged to have mobilised his supporters to beat up Bajoga who presided over the conduct of the election.

It was learnt that the lawmaker, after losing out in the election, allegedly put a call to his supporters who stormed the venue of the election with dangerous weapons and started attacking Bajoga.
