It was end of the road for six suspected kidnappers involved in the abduction of two children of the Delta State chairman of Petroleum Tankers Drivers (PTD), Mr Godspower Mashemigha, on Sunday night as Delta State Anti- Terrorist Police apprehended them while counting the N5 million ransom collected for their operation in the home of a herbalist in Udu area of the state.

Nigerian Tribune gathered on Monday that the squad, acting on a tip- off, stormed the residence of the herbalist at about 10.00p.m and engaged the kidnappers in a fierce gun duel leading to the killing of one of them.

The six suspects including the herbalist, it was learnt, were apprehended after the operation and preliminary confessional statement led the securitymen to Ughelli in Ughelli South Local Government where the kidnauped children were rescued.

The two children were rescued 17 days after they were abducted by four gun wielding men who rode in a branded Hyundai vehicle of a governorship candidate in the state while on their way to school at the Seat of Wisdom Modern School, Ekpan near Warri.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Charles Muka confirmed the arrest.
