Everton’s bid to sign Morgan Schneiderlin has reached an impasse with both player and club keen for the deal to happen but Manchester United unwilling to sanction a move unless they receive a bid of more than £20million.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen to push the deal through and Everton have already made one bid for the player, understood to be below the £20million benchmark.
And United are insistent that they will not do business unless they get close to £24million they paid for him 18 months ago.
Everton owner Farhad Moshiri is keen to back the manager and the club is now considering its next move. They also want to bring in Virgil van Dijk from Southampton and Memphis Depay, also from United.
