Lagos — Security around members of the Super Eagles will be tightened, ahead of the Oct. 8 match against the Syli Nationale of Guinea, a statement said.
The statement, released by team's press officer, Colin Udoh, said no fewer than 18 members of the team would arrive in the country by dinner time on Monday.
The match, which would be played at the main bowl of the Abuja National Stadium, would start at 2 p.m. local time.
The statement quotes the team's security officer, Gideon Akinsola, as saying that access to the players' floor would be severely restricted.
"All the players will be on one floor and nobody will be allowed to go to that wing.
"We will post officers to the lifts and at the entrance to their wing with strict instructions to ensure that no unauthorised persons, including relatives, slip through.
"Anyone person who tries to do so will be arrested at sight for trespass," it said.
Meanwhile it added that the Eagles would begin training on Oct. 4 for the match.
It said the squad would train twice on Tuesday morning and later in the day.
The statement added that on subsequent days, the team would train only once till match day.
